The El Dorado Rotary Club and South Arkansas College held a ribbon cutting to honor the formation of a club on SouthArk campus dedicated to a beloved Rotary member, Alexis Alexander.
A proclamation read, " "Through the dedication of the South Arkansas College Rotaract Office, we honor the legacy of a remarkable individual, Alexis Alexander, whose unwavering commitment to our community and our college has left an indelible mark on all of us. We celebrate a life dedicated to service, friendship, and advocacy.
"Alexis was more than just a supporter; she was an inspiration to those around her. She was the first to answer the call for volunteers, always ready to lend a helping hand to any cause that served the people of Union County, Arkansas. Her infectious spirit and genuine kindness created a ripple effect, inspiring those around her to make a difference, too"

The Rotary International website states, " Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.
"In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service.
"Rotaract members decide how to organize and run their clubs, manage their own funds, and plan and carry out activities and service projects. Rotary club sponsors offer guidance and support and work with your club as partners in service."
