Smackover's Parker Evans accomplished a rare feat when he emerged from the tennis regular season undefeated.
Evans finished the regular season with an 18-0 record in singles and was named a finalist for Fall Sports Male Athlete of the Year.
Evans finished the season with a 21-1 record, finally losing in the second round of the 3A State Tournament, 6-1, 6-4 to Harding Academy's Bradley Franz.
The senior, who also played in the band, earned All-Conference honors when he won the singles championship in the 3A 8 District Tournament, leading the Bucks to third place.
Smackover coach Candy Phillips could not be reached for comment after the season. The Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet will be held in the spring. The date will be announced later.
