El Dorado’s football program was filled with unsung heroes last season. For Coach Chris Hill, one senior stood out both on and off the field. Left tackle Isaac Stell left his mark for the Wildcats as a part-time starter on the offensive line and as a special teams ace.
“Isaac, from a coach’s standpoint, you love a kid like Isaac. He started for us some at left tackle. He could play pretty much any position on the offensive line,” said Hill. “He made himself into a deep snapper. I don't know if there was any other player on the team who spent more time outside of practice, working on his skill, working on his trade. He just made himself into a ball player. Perfect snaps - no bad snaps in punt or field goal, PAT all year long, which is unheard of. Even NFL guys have bad snaps every now and then.”
Hill said Stell also stood tall in the classroom.
“He’s top notch. Just a solid, solid person, a great young man, loves his teammates. I can’t say enough about Isaac Stell. He’s the kind of guy you want your daughter to marry.”
