A Camden man has been charged with one count of second-degree assault and one count of conduct constituting solicitation after he allegedly sexually assaulted two family members.
Carlton Howard, 33, of Camden is currently housed in the Ouachita County Detention Center on a $750,000 bond where he was placed after his arrest on Oct. 4.
According to affidavits filed by the Camden Police Department and Ouachita County Sheriff's department, Howard allegedly assaulted two minor family members, a 12 and 14-year-old, with the older child becoming pregnant.
A DNA test was conducted with the results stating "Carlton Howard can not be excluded as the biological father of the infant."
Three incidents were detailed in the affidavits with two of them allegedly taking place in Howard's semi-truck in 2024, one behind the former Wal Mart building and one on a trip cross country.
A third incident allegedly took place in the home in 2023.
Howard has denied any sexual misconduct.
