Lady Cats conclude summer camp schedule

El Dorado’s girls closed out their summer basketball camp season recently, competing in Morrilton. The Lady Wildcats played Russellville, McGehee, Mount St. Mary’s, White Hall, Alma, Mulberry, Sacred Heart, Bentonville West, Danville, Morrilton, DeQueen, Perryville, Warren and Ozark.

“It was a great variety in styles of play and athleticism,” said El Dorado coach Makara Frazier.

The summer season was important for the Lady Wildcats, who hoped to gain ground on the competition in the 5A South.

“Our last team camp was a big one for us. I feel as though we came into our own in certain areas offensively. The summer as a whole has been really good for us,” said Frazier. “We showed a lot of growth and I couldn’t be more proud of the way they have worked. Day in and day out we got better and I don’t think we could ask for more than that. I’m excited for this year for us.”
