David Phillips of Mt. Holly passed away on June 23, 2021 at the age of 68. He was born in Magnolia on October 12, 1952.
David graduated from Magnolia High School and was employed numerous years at Witt Oil Company in Stephens and Aerojet in Camden. He was a member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church.
David is preceded in death by his parents; Raymond Charles Phillips and Margaret Vivian Sharp and brother, Troy Hugh Mosley.
David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet Watson Phillips; his children, Christy Cranford (Cody) of El Dorado, Michael Phillips of Magnolia and Dana Phillips of Mt. Holly; grandchildren, Conner and Caden Cranford, Camryn Cranford, Preston Phillips and Dax Phillips; sisters, Betty Hunt and Kathy Phillips; brother, Hank Phillips along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
David’s greatest joy in life were his grandchildren. Their “Pop” would spend hours playing with them and attending their sporting events. He also enjoyed doing home projects and working in his yard.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2021 at Silver Hill United Methodist Cemetery with a Graveside Service to follow officiated by Pastor Steve Cook under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Casual dress is requested by the family.
